  1. Oh yes, I've been there with Reader's Digest.  They bill you for the magazine, books, whatever they can come up with, and they harass you.  I think there is a number on the back of the invoices that you can call, or if not write a letter and send it in place of your payment telling them you don't want their magazine anymore.

  2. have u been receiving any books or magagzines even when you did not sign for it?? if you have and been keeping them then to readers' digest it's an agreement that u want to subscribe to them. what i did was i sent all the books and mag and waht not back to them. thereafter i called them up and reiterate to them stop sending me items i did not ask for. hence it is imperative that you sent those items back .

  3. Here in my neck of the woods anything from rosaries to magazines that you receive unsolicited are considered a gift and don't have to be paid for or sent back.

If you are absolutely sure you didn't return any of the cards, you are not obligated to pay for anything you haven't signed up for. Many mag companies send out bogus "bills" in the hope that some poor blokes think they are legit and have to pay up and do so. Not very scrupulous, but it seems to work for them.

Have a look at this web site:

  4. Simply send them a letter and tell them stop sending junk mail in and don't pay the bill!
