How can you NOT know who Prince Harry is?

I was talking to someone about Prince Harry being in the news about coming back from over seas, and the guy was like, "Whose that?" This is an ADULT, someone in his 30s! How can you NOT know who he is? When I told him he was Princess Diana's son, then he knew....???

I never knew who he was until recently. The only two royals of the british royal family i knew very well was the queen and princess diana. I knew that diana had two sons but had no idea what their names were.

It's unusual, but everyone has different priorities.  Life does go on without the evening news and daily papers.  Think about how relaxing it is to take a vacation far away from electronic media.

Not everyone is interested in the british royals. He probably doesn't even care about royalty anyway.. but it's not abnormal NOT to know who harry is... i mean, he's not a movie star. Just a ginger prince of an outdated monarchy...

Easy, that person is not British and doesn't care about Royalty.

Up to the news about the guy all I knew was that Princess Diana had two children but didn't bother to find out their names. I don't care.

I dont remember any of their names, i dont particularly care, because in my world the Royalty have no influence,bearing on my life... they are simply some powerful people who live in a big house in London, whom i maybe lucky to get a letter from if i live to above 100.... which is more lightly than ever meeting them in person.

To be quite honest, if i never heard a word said about them i dont think i would be bothered, even as a passing thought in a quite moment of boredom.

Seriously, I don't understand all these answers about how "unimportant" royalty is. I totally agree with your view that someone not knowing who Prince Harry is, is just, completely ignorant.
