  1. A good construction adhesive will work even though you should have incorporated the baseboard in with the wall tiling. After the adhesive dries you can use a silicone caulk around the edges.

  2. Most ceramic tile base profiles are to be installed against the wall, and not over the wall tile. Some tile manufacturers do provide a profile known as an "Applied After" base board tile. These tiles will have a radiused top, not a flat one. They are best applied with thin-set cement; or by using whatever adhesive the manufacturer specs out for their installation.

When in a pinch, clear adhesive silicone works great for bonding tile to a "slippery" surface. Use strips of blue painter's tape to hold the tiles in place, as the silicone takes about 18 - 24 hours to set up to the point you can grout the tiles.

  3. use the same tile adhesive that you have been using. it will stick.

  4. Hi, I'm Nick The Tile Man.  You can purchase thin-set mortar from Lowe's, Home Depot or your local tile supplier.  It should cost about 30 dollars or less.  It will bond onto tiles.  Check out my web site for free information for all tile repair work.

  5. Don't half-a* it with glue....do it correctly:

take off the bottom row of wall tile.

    install the tile base

cut the wall tiles the proper size to fill in the remaining gap between the base and next row of tile.

  6. Try "Liquid Nails" It will hold almost anything together.

  7. I agree with the above poster.  I do question the decision to use tile though.  Most people would use the rubber type baseboard which is easy to install and inexpensive.
