  1. In writing or performing, you try not to categorize yourself into a certain genre and instead use the different genres as your inspiration in creating music. To categorize your art as exclusively Pop or Rock or Jazz would only limit your creativity. If you look at the great classics, they were written by Artists who went beyond their genre and drew influences from as different a source as classical music to native folk music. Steve Tyler from Aerosmith for example had a classical music background and yet he made a name in the Rock scene and wrote songs that have become classics. The late great Freddie Mercury of Queen was the same. The basic tenets of the principles of JKD is simply not to limit yourself and to practice what is useful and discard what is useless.

  2. let your imagination flow and play music which makes you and anyone listening feel emotions. try to make the music tell a story and most importantly enjoy what u play.

  3. When the conductor goes to wave that wand thing at you finger jab him in the eyes whilst kicking him in his nearest shin with your lead foot and follow up with a straight blast down the centre line flowing into a horizontal elbow and guillotine crank.

  4. why do you need music

  5. i practice nunchaku to drum and bass, its fast music, and i find the tempo is perfect for gettin me speed and co-ordination to peak. i would imagine that any kata can be put to music, you just have to imagine the tempo rate of your movement, have fun!!
