My boyfriend and I are traveling with another couple, but I just want our main dining seating to be us four? Who do I talk too, to get this accomplished? Do you think I have to wait until our seats are chosen for me to change them?

  1. you can talk to the maitre de  when you get to the ship. he can change them for you. But the bigger table you are at the better your cruise will be. I have met some great table mates that i still hear from . It is a great chance to meet people most of the time they will be from your own age group

  2. You can request it with the cruiseline before you leave.  If they don't get it for you, then you need to see the Matre'd in the dining room, preferrable as soon as you can after you board.

  3. You can check with maitre'd or when you check in on ship, arrange it with the pursers desk.  They will be able to get four together.  Four isn't bad at all to arrange.  its gets tough when there are groups of 10 or more but just four should be easy for them.  Enjoy your trip.

  4. I usually get settled in my cabin then go visit the matre' d first thing.  They always change it with no problems.

  5. You should be able to make this request before the cruise. They should have asked you for requests, if not they will. Go to the website and check it out.

  6. you can join a great cruise group here

To answer your question ;--- YES

Just go to the dining room after you board... they will be happy to help you..

  7. You can contact the cruise line and tell them your request. Also, anytime during the cruise, you can request any dining room changes at the prusers desk. I'd be calling the cruise line ASAP The early seating fills up first. Bon Voyage

  8. Your travel agent can help. If you have your friend's reservation number, your agent can cross-reference them and that will assure you of eating together. If all else fails, go to the maitre'd as soon as you board the ship and ask that you be seated with your friends. They usually try and accomodate these requests.

  9. When you make your reservation just be sure to ask for the type dinner seating that you want; main or late seating, table for two or four, table by the window.  If you are traveling with a group and you want to be sure to be seated together you need to make sure that the cruise lines link your reservations.  If you book online you can do it yourself if you have the reservation numbers for the other people who will be traveling with you whom you want to sit with.  If you use an agent have your agent do this and have  others in your group do the same.

One of the first thing that you should do when you board the ship is go find your table in the main dining room.  If the table assignment does not suit you then go immediately to the Matre D and request a table change.  Most ships have a Matre D available for this and changes are made on a first come first served basis.  So if you want a table for two (many cruise ships have these) you may be able to get one if they are not all reserved (sometimes you may have to change your seating time to get them).

The key is to request a change as soon as possible.  And, if after a day or two on ship you are still not satisfied, ask again for a change.  That's how I have done it and it has worked for me.
