  1. train the fast twitch muscles by running FAST...thats for quickness, everything longer than say 50m will also require strength and endurance...cause you want to be fast, but also strong enough not to slow down


  2. wear tight clothing-less wind resistance

    make your body more streamlined

    Maybe train with something in long distance aswell for stamina

    make sure your leg muscles are ready to push at the start[when you come off the 'blocks']

    head down

    eyes on the prize

    and let no mental distractions get in your way

We use "Wind sprints" .  Running 50m sprint do not stop until end, then touch the ground [something to mark you turn] sprint 50 ...  See when you get tired.  Rest 5Min's  again.  Every other day.  You do not want to over do or leg pain  will hamper next session.  Mixing up combos of 50's and 25, 100.  I use 100's to practice final sprint in.  This will help to fit into a 10-20-30 minute session stuck into training days or on lighter days leading up to rest days.

    Try to start measuring how much longer you can sprint before you tire, and how much you can kick in the last 100.
