How can you boat the Congaree River in Cola. SC to the Coast in an 18' bowrider. Any info would be appreciated

I have heard that you can put your boat in the water in Columbia SC and drive all the way to the coast on the Congaree River. I have a 19' bowrider and would really enjoy such a trip. Does any one know where to put in, where are the refueling stations, does it require permits, and about how long does the entire trip take. Any information or stories would be greatly appreciated.
