It's not necessarily building success into the works-because this may create a false sense of self-esteem or accomplishment which may not deserve to be there. Consider using alternative ideas for motivation. Read with them, or remove the remote control/shut off the TV, PC, etc. so they are encouraged to read with you. Sign them up for a reading program at your local library once they're old enough. Otherwise, just encourage them to read a lot.
