I made a video that is saved as Windows Movie Maker Project (.WMMP) but the only way I can put it on Youtube is to convert it to a .WMP to successfully put it on. How can I convert it?

  1. When ready to save, go to File. Instead of going to Save Project as, scroll down on to Save Movie File. Save to your computer, on My Videos. Then it should work when you try to upload it. Good luck!

  2. Once you're happy with your final result, you'll need to save the video in a format that YouTube can accept in order to upload. Unless you're a professional video producer, we recommend that you save your videos as either QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files— these are the most common formats and they work well within our system. We specifically recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 640x480 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube.

  3. I'm guessing you went to File> Save as... DON'T DO THAT! You will only get a MSWMM file, which isn't a movie file, but the WMM Project file.

Instead, go to the task bar on the left and under the heading Finish Movie, choose save to computer. From there just choose whatever format you need.

    Hope that helps.

  4. u click on the publish button , there there will be an option where u can change it to an AVI file so u click there an yeahh
