  1. Slowing down is an easy way to save gas.  For example, slowing down from 70mph to 60mph on the highway can increase your gas mileage by more than 10 percent.  The other obvious things would be to only drive when necessary, share rides with other people, use a bike for short trips, ride the bus if your city has one.

  2. don't drive!

  3. Drive a smaller gas consumption vehicle, not SUVs or pickups.  Ride a bicycle or walk when possible.  Car pool when feasible.  You can also help with conserving the crude oil supply by controlling your energy use:  don't turn your thermostat as high in winter, or your air conditioner as low in summer.  Don't wash and dry small loads.  If possible, hang clothes to dry rather than using the drier.

  4. Drive as little as you can; walk places if you are able. Make a grocery list and go to the store once a week and plan your trips so you are not making more trips then you have to or going out of your way for things. Do more than one thing when you leave the house and if possible do them all in 1 day.

  5. 2 ways: drive less, and get a car that gets alot of MPG's

    no other way really...

  6. drive only when you absolutely have to. Get a hybrid car instead. Drive the speed limit (it actually saves gas). Use cruise control if you have it. Keep your tires inflated...properly inflated tires saves gas. Change your air filter when needed. Change anything else like your oil when needed.

If you use natural gas in your house, then use the air/ heat ONLY when needed (i.e. if it's 65F - 80F outside, then leave the air or heat off).
