  2. If it is nervous laughter you are referring to I can suggest some options. Focus on what a person is wearing, in minute detail, until the moment has passed. Focus on putting your hands behind your back and pressing thumbs together. Keep eye contact - they expect you to look at them - and concentrate on trying to figure out why they are making an issue out of something.
