Global Warming or Climate Change...

No doubt there are politicans cashing in on pushing the idea, but......If you understand how a combustion engine works in a car, it's tiny explosions occuring, millions in just one car in one trip. The heat then comes out the tail-pipe. Now consider the millions of cars, trucks, planes, trains, motorcycles running every single day. Factories spewing heat and exhaust. Homes that send heat exhaust into the air....thousands of restaurants cooking at high temps..

All these un-natural sources of heat....

It has to have some effect on the Earth. Maybe not as much effect as Al Gore's fat butt, but nonetheless, it's a problem.

  1. I agree. We are the biggest polluter in the world, why not care?!

  2. CO2 is not a pollutant.  It's plant food.

  3. Co2 is natural, but when it is in solid or liquid form ( coal, gas)it doesn't cause the greenhouse effect. Burning it releases it in gas form which causes the greenhouse effect and causes warming. The net CO2 on earth remains the same but the amount in gas form has risen exponentially since we started burning it like there's no tomorrow during the industrial revolution.

  4. We don't feel guilty about it because everything in auto and factory exhaust other than CO2 and water is already heavily regulated.     The industrial and transportation filtration industry is as a result a booming industry - check out Donaldson Companies (ticker DCL).

  5. Important note  Man did not manufacture any new co2. Unless added by a comet or meteor, it has been here since the earth was created. It is absolutely not pollution and it seems apparent through all the debate that no one truly understands it's effects as a green house gas in our atmosphere.

  6. Heat rises. Therefore all of the heat from these things rises and leaves our atmosphere. Don't believe Al Gore when he says that there is an invisible layer trapping it in here. All this Global Warming/ Climate change is directly linked to the sun. The sun spots are directly linked to how hot or cold the earth is. Greenhouse Gases are not linked at all. In fact the less there are the hotter this earth is. The greenhouse gases are like air in that they rise when it is hot so if the earth gets hot the greenhouse gases rise and leave our atmosphere. Read any TRUE article on greenhouse gases and you will find this out.

  7. First it was called Global Warming, until it was completely disproved as a fraud, then the name was changed to "Climate Change".

It is pretty obvious that it is a lie to force political concessions on the people. When it is shown to be a lie, they just change the name and go again, and many fools will buy it all over again!

  8. People like driving and don't want to feel guilty while they do it.  For some reason it seems like many people who don't believe in human caused global warming just happen to own a truck or SUV.  "Each gallon of gas a vehicle uses releases 20 to 25 pounds of heat-trapping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere."

Also many people like eating meat which may actually be worse than driving.  People probaly dont want to feel guilty about that either.

It is usually easier to convince yourself that global warming is a myth than to actually change you behavior.

Some people I'm sure arrived on their stance because their scientific research convinced them of it, but it seems to me most  first chose the stance they would take THEN researched it (and they only report the research that agrees with them even if most don't or if the ones that do agree with them don't actually happen to be scientists)

Badcock, any sources or did you disprove it yourself and we take your word for it?  And you do know that the phrase "climate change" has been used by many scientists for years? Just because they didn't use it in your Newsweek magazine or whatever doesn't change anything.

birdog, thank you for pointing out the obvious.  Of course man doesn't add co2 to earth, man takes it from the ground where it doesn't affect the climate and puts it in the atmosphere where it does.  How in the world do you think it would affect the heat from the sun when it is stuck in the ground?

  9. I heard temperatures and weather patterns on all the planets in our solar system are changing.  Maybe we should do more research on what is happening with the sun.
