How can you determine what brand & model car radio you have if the face plate is removed?

Is there a model number stamped on the radio somewhere inaccessible, and do you have to remove the radio to find it?

Take the radio to a pro installer and have them look on the outer parts of the radio for the info you seek.

radios are pretty much all the same in size and you can pretty much get one any store that has a auto section....

if you got the log book all the info should be there

Usually there will be a sticker on the top or bottom of the radio.  Yes, you'll have to remove the radio from the dash to see it.
