How can you differentiate a permanent tattoo from an authentic birth mark if the birth mark is black in color?

Like, the same black as a permanent tattoo. And the shape of the birthmark is kinda looks like a tattoo since it's kinda looks like a triangle but there are three spikes on the base of that triangle.

um well a birthmark just looks like a blob. A tattoo has detail, and is specific in a shape or design. It doesnt matter if their both the same color, although ive never heard of a black birth mark.
