Cannot open the car door with out the keyless remote or the alarm will go off and only shut off with remote. Using the key will not shut off alarm. Can't figure this one out.

  1. i dont know if this will work on your vehicle. If its a Jeep wrangler if definately wont. But if its a cherokee it might.. but on some  vehicles you can get your key that unlocks the door locks and go to the back door hatch and unlock it, lock it and unlock it, it will disable the alarm. i'm not 100% positive on this but its something you can try.

  2. unplug the battery

  3. unplug the battery and then pull the fuse that runs the alarm from the fuse box

  4. If it's the factory alarm, you should be able to disarm the alarm with a key in the doors or the liftgate. If that no longer works, the disarm switch in the affected door(s) has gone bad and need to be replaced.

You can also simply not arm the alarm to begin with; if you lock the doors manually, the factory alarm will not arm.

Disabling the alarm system entirely is fairly involved and the process varies depending on the vehicle.
