How can you distinguish a "fisher cat noise" from a foxes noise?

We've been hearing a fisher cat around the neighborhood for the past couple weeks. However, now we are wondering if we are hearing a fox because all the recordings we hear sound pretty much the same. Is there a way of telling what scream it is?
