I am a leader and depending on your state the names of the G.S. Centers vary. You can check the schools to see if they have a name or look in the phone book, as soon as you have the name for the center just call them and they will have you go register or send you the proper paperwork.

By accident!  I never planned on being a leader.  My daughter had a different leader as a Brownie 3 years later I was told I had the Troop.

There is a serious lack of leaders for Girl Scout troops. So many girls want to join but without parent volunteers there just isn't a way to accommodate them.

The best way to end up a leader of a troop is to find other girls who want to be in a troop, then form your own troop. You will need to do some leader training but after that you will be ready to start meetings and all the fun that Girl Scouts enjoy!

Call your local office and volunteer.  The Scouts are ALWAYS looking for good people to help out.
