  1. I'm not sure how your DVD recorder that you use for programs works, but ideally, there would be a menu in there that would allow you to "Erase DVD" so that you can record new programs.

If not, you need a computer with a DVD burner. If you have a desktop that doesn't have one, you can buy them online for $20-$30. You'll also need some sort of utility (like Nero or Roxio Easy Media) to erase the DVD. All you do is stick the DVD into the burner, open your utility and hit "Erase." There should be several utilities available online for free that do the same thing, if you search for "DVD erase program."

If you're using DVD+R's or DVD-R's, you cannot erase them! The only DVD's that may be erased are DVD-RW's. If you aren't using that format, your DVDs are burned permanently, just like with CD-R's vs. CD-RW's.

    Hope this helps!

  2. Hmm, unless it's a DVD-RW, there really isn't a way to erase it for reuse.  If it IS a DVD-RW, use burning software (I use Roxio) to clear the disc of it's current data to be a burnable DVD again.  Hope this helps!

  3. You need to buy DVD-RW .... if your talking about a dvd like you would buy or rent that already has a movie you cant erase that don't be stupid ^^

  4. just record over it

  5. I don't think it is poss
