  1. You expect it by learning from the experiences of others

  2. You mean like, uh, Death?

I guess I take it on faith.  Those cemetaries may have unduly influenced me.

  3. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

  4. I agree. If you expect the unexpected, doesn't that make the unexpected expected? Then what are you expecting if the unexpected is expected, and you were told to expect the unexpected, not the expected? This has nothing to do with your question. This does: You listen to stories of people who have already traveled the path you are taking, learn what they did, what happened, how they prepared, for then you know what to expect.

  5. Easy. By observing others and learning from their experiences.

For example, I have never shot anyone in the head before, it's an experience I've never had. But I should expect that the person would die.

Thus, even though I've never experienced killing anyone, I should expect that shooting someone in the head accomplishes that.

  6. ...when you take the step to find out...good luck...

  7. You don't have to experience something to expect it. Just find, out from people that experienced, it what it will bring about, and prepare for it.

This question is too vague for me to answer precisely.

  8. Communications... will give something to expect.

  9. We are taught to expect the unexpected. To think beyond our own desires to consider what other are going through and to try to develop a method of relating or understanding. This requires thinking outside or normal levels of relationship.

  10. I knew you would ask that. Well I expected it from you.
