  1. If you live in the united states you can go to a arbitrator to file for you. Or there is a organization called " We Are The People " and you can file through them with there guidance to file all the papers for him to get served. But the arbitrator is better because they will give you allot better hands on ability of what you want ot of the marriage for the laws of that state. It is like a lawyer, but a h**l allot cheaper. Look in the Phone book under lawyer or arbitrator. They are like a lawyer, but they don't have a license to present you in court. You can also go to the  " Family Courts" and talk to one of the clerks there and they will provide you with a lawyer, but you have to have a low income to have one of the lawyers. Good Luck I wish you the best.

  2. If you have children involved , It is best to have a lawyer.

  3. Get the proper legal forms, fill them out, have them notarized and wah lah! If the divorce may be contested or there is marital property and debt (and such).... you may need the advice of an attorney, but most firms your first initial consultation is free....Good Luck!

  4. You might be able to print up some No-fault divorce papers on your county's website. I did for mine. It didn't work completely because we have kids and there are lots - LOTS - of questions when it comes to the kids.

  5. Are you in the UK or US?

In the UK just go to your local court, go to the clerks desk and ask for the forms to file for a divorce.

These forms are returned to the court and approved by a judge (you do not need to appear).

You will first apply for a decree nisi then a decree absolute. There is a small admin fee when you return the forms.

They should also have some leaflets that explain how to fill the forms in.

It looks hard but it isn't really - I did it myself.

  6. http://www.legalzoom.com/sem/divorcepage...

you can go to this website and see if it would help you or...you can go to your local courthouse and pick up a packet for a non-contested divorce, fill it out, have your soon to b ex fill out their part and file it with the court...

  7. Yes you can. You file pro se (or representing yourself) on your divorce petition. Lots of people do it themselves. It can be harder if it is a highly contentious divorce but if you and your ex agree on settlement terms you can do it all yourself relatively easily!

    Good luck.

  8. go to the family courts, explain your situation. If you hold a current health care card it wont cost you anything :)

  9. i went to the courthouse and they gave me a copy of some uncontested divorces and i followed the basic outline and did it myself. i only paid $100 to file. good luck!!!

  10. Yes :D

I'm not responsible for anything if something goes wrong, i just found the business. I would do a little research first before using them. Good luck!

  11. You can but a lawyer would sort through all of the legal stuff that might be confusing to you. If your ex-partner doesn't want to use a lawyer either it might be easier for both of you. If your ex does have a lawyer I would suggest getting one as well.
