How can you find out about driving a car for someone from NY to Miami?

A family of 3, mother/father/son, is looking to get down to Miami over the Memorial day weekend to see their daughter 's graduation. Funds are low and they are seeking a means to do this as economical as possible. They would be willing to drive someone's car down for the cost of gas and return airfare for at least 1 person.

I would suggest that they contact some transportation companies and see if they can arrange to drive for them.  It may require background information and driving records, since they would be driving something for another party who would have to insure it, but I imagine dealers in Miami buy vehicles from other places and need transporting them...the problem I see is they transport them together on a trailer, and don't drive them.  For this reason, I worry they will find what they are looking for...I am a car dealer and would not want the added mileage on the car I purchased, not to mention the cost of gas from NY to Miami.
