  1. I know Penfold still owes 2 bags of long grain rice and a tray of strawberries on his hole in the ground.

  2. ask them. other than that you would be violating their privacy.

  3. Great answers so far Loose, or you could what I did and rifle through this persons personal files until you find their current bank statements and mortgage statement. Not for the faint of heart or respectable lawyer though. I am neither so that is okay. Right?

  4. Tee hee! Dimmler we paid up for our hole in the ground long ago life is Penny's.

  5. Sorry but that is illegal as it is an invasion of privacy unless you can get them to tell you personally.  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚˜Â¼

  6. . . . .and it's your business because?

the original loan amount is a matter of public record because it's recorded with the county. . .and assuming they're current and didn't make extra principal payments, you can figure it out with an amortization chart

  7. That exact information is contained on their CBR; the original amount and outstanding balance. As you know, a CBR can be subpoenaed for.

  8. It might be public record at your local court....I heard someone say something like that once........

  9. There is no legal, ethical way to find out.  You can find out how much the mortgage was originally by looking online (doesn't work in all areas).

If the mortgage goes into foreclosure, the balance due and fees will be filed with the county and be public record.
