How can you find out if someone has had an annulment before?

Where do I search for annulment records?

I would think the Clerks office would only have records of divorce as annulment is not a legality by law.  The catholic church is who looks after annulments and it is through them that you would have to find that information but I don't know if it would be public record or not.
