  1. the only way is to go to the docs and have your baby kid tested,

there's no point though, if your baby gets stung then just watch out and see how the baby reacts, long as there's little swelling then there shouldn't be anything to worry about!

  2. I don't think you can find out until she has actually been stung by one

  3. you may be able to have her tested for it by an allergist but usually it is when they have a reaction when they are first stung.

  4. You can get test for allergies for babies ...My son had it done when he was around 14 months old ...He got tested for everything fish eggs nuts bee's dust you name it! It was on that list lol

You tend to find that if they are allergic the first allergic reaction you get tends to be the worst . Speak to your Health visitor of doctor to see about getting the allergy test done

And keep some Anithistimine (Piritonetc) In the house just incase

If she does get stung or take an allergic reaction keep a look out for Blotches on the the face & Body

Swelling on face ,Tongue & throat

And If she has any trouble breathing

If you notice any swelling take her to doc's hosp ASAP

    Hope that helps

    :D

  5. It is unlikely that she would be unless there is a strong history of allergies in your family  she has already shown signs of having an allergies constitution (i.e. she is allergic to other things).

If you are very worried about allergies, then carry some liquid antihistamine with you. This can be given if she is stung.

I was at my local hospital the other day and they had a sign up saying that over 200 hundred people had come in with insect stings that summer and only one had actually needed any medical attention. For the vast majority of people, bee stings are not a problem.

  6. There is no test for that, bees sting is not allergy, everyone get affected by it if he or she had been stung, just hope it will never happen to your little girl.

  7. you cant, if she gets stung, you will find out, there will be many things you will have to wait to find out, but please, let her get a scraped knee once or twice!! dont wrap her up too tight in cotton wool!! Its all part of growing up!!

  8. trap a bee in a jar and place it on your child while giving it a shake.

Once your child has been stung. Sit back with a cup of tea and wait until an allergic reaction takes place.

If not after 20 minutes, You can say that she's not allergic

  9. What would make people say some of what they said here? There are some hateful, negative people in this world!

At three-months, this isn't something to worry so much about just yet. However, since you are concerned, here are a few things to think about.

Is there a history of allergic reactions in your family? It isn't too common, but allergies can be passed on. Mostly they are developed, however. If she is breast fed, then she is also using some of your immune system for protection herself; and if you are allergic, she may have a similar response when she gets a little older. Her immune system is so developed yet to trigger a full response.

Nevertheless, if this is a strong concern for you, you can bring her to an Allergist when she is about 6-months old. Specific tests can be run to see if she is sensitive, allergic, or anaphylactic to certain substances (bee's, peanut butter, strawberries, and latex are a few big ones; but there are also many more).

Good luck and try not to worry too much.

    Cheers!

  10. If he's stung and he screams in pain, it's normal. Just rub vinegar on the sting. Go see a doctor if you need to know about allergies.

  11. OMG some of these answers are ridiculous.  First of all there is an allergy test you can take where a allergist will test your child for more common allergies, i.e, milk, eggs, peanut butter, bees.

Second of all if your child is stung the first time there will be no reaction.  It's the second time when you will find out if they are allergic to it to not.

    Third, bee stings are allergies

  12. oh for gods sake, you cant worry about everything. just look on google, first aid for bee stings, i mean come on, my daughter has kidney disease and youre worrying about this?

    steve, hahaha

  13. Ignore negative posters. According to some's philospy no one should worry about any other child on the planet because theirs is ill. It's not so much about the sick child but how much attention and sympathy they can get. And usually they are bitter and that has nothing to do with chidlren either-

Since bee stings can be just as life threatening to some as a kidney disorder you should have it checked out. Your pediatrician can order the tests. There is no reason to assume that your child is alergic but there is also no reason to assume you just like to worry. I would guess that you have good reason to wonder about this-

Put your fears at rest and have an alergy test done.

A bee sting alergy-while serious and potentially deadly-can be handled with information, immediate responce and the right medication. Some might think it's foolish but many mothers have problems other than their children's health to deal with.

  14. Try not to worry about these things too much. There are lots of things out there that could possibly hurt your child but most children manage to grow up successfully.

I know you love your child but worring too much can be harmful too.

My advice is to ditch most of the anti-bacs in your house and allow your child to get dirty every now and then.

Allergies are on the increase because children are no longer allowed to build a healthy immune system. You need to be exposed to allergens for your body to combat them.

If there is a history then visit your doc, but most of all, enjoy your child.

  15. I would ask your doctor about this.  I know there are tests for food allergies but testing a baby might not be accurate.  You just sort of have to wait and see.
