I think I'll be able to wear a normal bra in 7-9 months but how do you figure out what size you are?

  1. Lamia contradicted herself. The reason women are wearing the wrong size is because people do the 'add 5in' thing and it leaves them with a bra too big in the band and too small in the cup. I measure 27in under, and I wear a 28 band. It's people like Lamia who insist I should wear a 32, but I can pull it about 4 or 5 inches away from my body. That's not support.

And another thing - don't go to VS. They use the old, outdated way to measure bras and will try and fit everyone into a 32-36 A-D. If everyone wore the right sized bra, the so-called 'normal' sizes would be seen for what they actually are; not 32-36 A-D, but more like 28-40 A-G.

This website will explain how to measure your bra size (and its further proof I'm not making it up): http://www.wikihow.com/Measure-Your-Bra-...

But remember - measurements don't determine your size; it's only a rough guide. With the old outdated system, it would squeeze me into a 32C. Using measurements and NOT adding 4 or 5 will put me in a 28F/FF, which is about right (real size: 28F)

Here is a lingerie competition with women who are wearing the correct size. They range from 28FF to 30J. They're not 32-36 A-D, are they? They represent women wearing the correct sizes: http://www.brastopmodels.co.uk/model-com...

Bravissimo's website is like the holy grail of bra fitting - and they refuse to use tape measures: http://www.bravissimo.com/perfectfit/

  4. you can get fitted at victoria's secret, or you can just try on as many as it takes for you to find the one that fits.

  5. measure around your chest- below your b*****s and straight across your back -that number in inches is the size you need,if it is an uneven number got to the next size up.To get your cup size measure around your chest at breast level -  if it is 1 inch bigger your an A cup,2 inches a B cup 3 inches a C cup,4 inches a D cup and keep in mind bras, like clothes differ so  make sure you try them on and good luck.

  6. Your bra size is made up of two parts: The band size and the cup size. The band size refers to the size of the band around your chest, and the cup size denotes the volume of the cups. It's important to remember that the cup size is relative to the band size, it is not an absolute volume. You might be a 32B and your friend might be a 36B, but don't think that you can't be the same cup size just because she looks bigger - it's because she has a bigger band size to begin with. She will have a bigger breast volume because it's in proportion to her body.

I find that the band size can be calculated by taking your underbust measurement and rounding it to the nearest even number. Whatever you do, DO NOT add 4 or 5 inches to it. The cup size it a bit more tricky. If your bust measurement is one inch more than your band size, you should need an A cup, two inches is a B cup, three inches is a C cup etc. This isn't always accurate though, so be prepared to try on a few different sizes.

When you find the right size, the band should be a firm but comfortable fit when you fasten it on the loosest adjustment. There will be more eyes at the back of the bra to fasten the hooks tighter when it starts to wear out. The way that a bra works is to support your bust using the band, not the shoulder straps, so it's important that this is a snug fit.

It's a bit easier to tell if the cups fit - basically you should be filling them out fully, but not bulging out anywhere. If there is any breast tissue not being contained within the cups, then you need a bigger cup size.

The links I have given below will tell you more about bra fitting.
