i have a 2000 model honda odyssey and the rear power window wont go up . the motor still works in the window as you can hear it all other windows still work does any one have any clue what the problem could be. Please dont tell me to take it to an auto electrician eventually i will do this but if it is minor i may save some cash(which with the price of fuel these days should be understandable)

  1. Taking the door panel off to fix this is no small task. Neither is digging between the metal panels to but the belt back onto the motor. The problems is a faulty or disconnected motor belt, your best bet is to bring it to a mechanic, or to save yourself time and gas just call your local dealer or wherever you maintenance your car and ask him what he thinks about the problem. This should be all the guidance you'll need.

  2. buy a new motor for power windows

  3. The belt is off inside the panel, the motor is turning but it is not connected to the window right now. If you remove the interior panel it will probably be obvious how to put the belt back on (sort of like when a bicycle chain comes off) unless the belt is broken, if that is the case you can push the window up by hand and leave it up until you get around to replacing the belt.

If money is tight I know I can always live with the back window up!

    Good Luck!
