How can you get a dog to sleep?

my dog is always up and i need to know if there is a way to make him sleep and if there are good tips to making your dog listen without hitting him/her 10 pnts to the answer that works

Your dog will sleep when it's tired. You don't really need to worry about it. I'm pretty sure that he sleeps, if not at any other time, when you sleep.

As for getting your dog to listen without hitting him, remember that whatever he is doing that you don't want him to do, firmly tell him/her NO. And if that alone didn't work, you can leash him to a pole or something for a short period of time, and then let him go.

But it also depends on what it is that it's doing wrong, because there are other methods for certain misbehavioral problems

Make a nightly routine. I have been dealing with the same  problem. She cries in her kennel and whines. I don't make eye contact with her.....after making sure she has gone potty about 10:30 pm and give her a couple of drops of liquid melatonin.(or doggie calm drops that are beef flavored worked for her too)just mel.is cheaper at the moment. eventually she settles down(she is 8 months old)...so she can make it to about 6 am. in her kennel.oh and another nugget of advice: make sure you make your dog nice and tired in the evening by making sure they have a rigorous play session and exercise every night. this really helps~good luck.
