like how if the have a crooked tooth. they might have to get one on the side of it pulled out so that it can have space to get better

your question doesn't get a lot of info. If you've been told by an orthodontist they need the tooth ext. due to spacing. If it's a permanent tooth and you haven't talked to an ortho. you want to be real sure ext the tooth is the right answer. Once you remove a permanent tooth there is no going back. Is it a premolar?  How old are they? Do you have a treatment plan with a dentist or orthodontist for removing the tooth?
