Yes there is a product at home depot called Krud Kutter, or some dollar stores have a product call Awesome

Try alcohol first...if no luck use acetone - ie nail polish remover.. tho' you will have to check the label to be sure that it contains acetone - some nail polish removers do not (the good ones).  Good luck.

I know this sounds crazy but cigarette ashes will remove permanent marker from most hard surfaces.

Try Oreck No Return spot remover. While it is mainly for carpets and fabrics, it also works on plastic, and that was part of a demonstration that convinced me to buy it.

this is probably one of the most frequently asked questions. there are several options available, really depends on how much rubbing\scrubbing you want to do, and what material the marker is on.

the solvent in a marker that keeps the ink in solution is Xylene, available at any big box DIY, paint or hardware store. will remove it almost immediately. also dissolves latex paint, so can't be used on that surface. oops & GoofOff contain xylene, but not 100%, and takes more scrubbing. also 2-3 times as costly.

next best bet is denatured alcohol, also readily available. can be used on about any surface except shellac.

others in the scrubbing required category: mineral spirits, paste toothpaste, hairspray, acetone, those

'magic erasers'(get ready to scrub!).

Try an old fashion eraser.The kind on the end of a pencil.My Sons were quit the artist and this worked pretty good.Also the cheapest hairspray,spay let sit and scrub.Or nail polish remover.Love those kids now that their adults,Still "creative",but clean their own mess!,E
