  1. serving used to be one of my worst things in vball, and what you need to do first is get an actual swing goin for it...as in bring your arm back far enough and then start developing a quick swing, and work on your timing...if all else fails get a coach or someone older to help you!

  2. Practice, practice, practice. If you still have trouble, find someone who is good at serving and ask them if they would help you. It always helps to practice. If you ask someone with experience in volleyball to watch you serve, they very well could be able to tell you if you are doing anything wrong. They will probably help you. Good luck, and keep practicing!

  3. practice a lot

try serving directly at the top of the net and hitting the ball squarely in the middle

also you need a consistant toss so practice just that

  4. Bench press, lift weights, etc.

  5. PRACTICE! PrAcTiCe! practice! I am on a club team and i do atleast 50 or more serves a day! and i have become an awesome server!

  6. serve over and over and over and over and over and over and over and.. ... .... ..... ...... ....... ....... ..... ...... ...... ...... . . . .. . . . . . . . .. . . .. . . . . . . .. . . .. .  . . . ... . . . . .. ..  .. . . . .. . . .. . . .. . . . . .. . . . ...........................................  over again and watch what you do each time.

  7. Watch a few good players and see how they serve. That's how I learned to serve better in volleyball. I just tried out the different ways of serving that I had observed, and did the one that worked best for me. Just don't get frustrated too quickly, it will take some practice. If you put some effort into it, you will surely be able to serve well soon!

  8. practice, practice, practice!!

if you're looking for power, do a lot of push ups, pull ups, etc. exercises that will provide you with upper arm strength is good. but it's really not about power, it's all about the toss and step. if you can get a good toss and take a good step at teh right time, you're almost guaranteed to get the ball over the net all the time!

    hope i helped!

  9. Well, I practice by going outside and just serving it over hand. That's all you really have to do.

  10. u should as my coach say exercise work on ur upper body strength. and then take a ball and work from the 10 foot line and then half court and then full court..

or u can take a ball go to a wall n practice. =)

  11. Practice a lot! and u could do simple exercises. stand close to the net and lightly serve the ball over to your partner. be sure to focus on your posture and your strength. after you are satisfied with your serves from this position, move a couple meters back and repeat. do this until you reach the serving line. this really helped me and now i have a consistent overhand serve.

bench presses, pushups, and lifting light weights can also help.

  12. Some people have stogn arms some people haev weak arms. If you have weak arms do this. At your local gym or outside Put osme kind of sign high of the building your doing to hit against. The usuall height your going to be playing at. Then try to fit the ball at it close to it then move back everytime you get a hit.

If you strogn arms, do 10push-ups first to get ur arms pumped and ready. Then go practice somewhere hitting the ball. That should help you. ("

  13. Practice with proper technique.  Concentrate more on the technique than getting the ball over the net at first.  You get the technique down and then can start practicing on placing the ball around the court.

  14. when you serve, snap your wrist down, so than u get top spin, and also when u serve it up, make sure it has top spin so than it goes down easier, if u practice this a lot you will be good at it, and when u get power into it than it will be amazing

  15. Lots of practice helps.

Purchase a cheap practice volleyball - which can be used anywhere, especially outside against any surface.

Find an open area, with a wall - usually a car park area - and practice a spike serve.

Also develop the windmill serve - this is an excellent serve. When you tire of the spike serve, then use the windmill.

The windmill takes a lot of practice to get going, but is worth having. You won't tire of the windmill, as you use your bodyweight to advantage, and can do it all through a game.

Practice makes the difference - the time you put in, will get the rewards out.
