How can you get caught for writing a bad check?

My friend just shared with me and he feels so bad, that he took a check from somebody and wrote it for money and put it into his account to clear. How will he ge caught, o should he be ok?

The person who he stole the money from will get the check back from the bank and he will report it to the police. Your friend could go to jail and I hope he does.

ok, once the store, buisness etc. trys to cash in the cheak they can see that that bank account has not enough money to pay off the check. the chek he stole belonged to someone who didnt have that much money. but you need to tell the police because he will be charged with 2 counts of theft and 1 count of robbery. he is in deep now. if you dont tell they will find him, and he will be charged 4 running, and you will be an accesorie. get some new friends. :)

He will be caught because it will show up on the bank statement and hopefully be punished to the full extent of the law.  Find some new friends.  Also it's not a bad check, a bad check is one that bounces because of insufficient funds.  What he did is called fraud which is much worse.
