How can you get girls to like you at college?

Yesterday, I went to the official Open Day for the university which I'm going to next year and the girls there all looked so pretty and sophisticated, not even noticing/ looking in my direction at all! Well, not that they 'should' have been looking at me or anything, but, you know, I felt much more... 'invisible' there than I usually do at school. Anyway, how can you get the attention of college girls? How can you make them notice you in such a huge place? I'm a bit shy around girls, and I know I'm nothing much to be interested in, but please help-- I've never had a girlfriend before, and based on the caliber of girls I saw at Open Day yesterday, it's looking highly unlikely I'll EVER get one!

They are probably pretty well involved in their social lives and will need tutors after their initial grades come in.  You can work "things" out with them.

first of all you need to improve your self esteem a bit...if you walk around think your invisible no one will notice you. you need to walk with confidence and pride at all times even if you don't feel to confident.

well number one DONT act like a jerk

get to be friends with girls introduce yourself and dont act like you like them(you know what i mean) just get friendly with a few and be there for them and stuff and eventually youll get what you want its just a matter of time and patience, and sorry but some boys just have it, how ever much you try so dont go round asking girls out, get to know them be there friend first

Intelligence gets you far.

But don't be a quiet achiever. In your classes/lectures, speak up if you've got a point to make.

You'll get noticed that way, and not for the wrong reasons.

But by being intelligent you've got to be wary of the girls who might try to use you..

Wow, no GF in HS? Make a friend there who's pretty good with the ladies and learn from him, that's my best advice. Yep and these other people are right, when your selfesteem improves you wont be so invisible. good luck there dude!

well come up with a new and unique style in the university and use a s**y perfume that makes ppl crazy , be stylish , 1st month ignore girls ,don't look at them , don't give a smile , and be yourself don't over act , you will see that girls would like to talk about you and would really want you to talk them and that is what you want , am i right?

so go for it and you will get what you want ?

Join groups that you're interested in, and aim for making friends.  It's much easier to start a conversation with someone if you know you have at least one interest in common.

Dont judge a book by their cover, just be yourself when you talk to these girls. If you change for one of them then youll lose the chance to be with the person who'll love you for you.

HAHA! it's you again! I'm not stalking you I promise, just browsing through questions and picking random ones to answer. Sorry this question is soooo tempting to answer, being a college girl myself.

MOST college girls like a very mature guy. But the easiest way to grab any girls attention with two combinations and here they are:

1. Confidence: that is a huge deal breaker in most girls books (especially the very good looking ones, I personally LOVE confidence, it attracts me more than anything) Now confidence has more to do with just being able to make a stupid joke in a class it's the way you carry yourself.

2. Disinterest: Okay if you have cuteness on your side the best strategy is to completely ignore a girl (pretend you have a girlfriend, and you can't look at any other girl) and if you have to look at a girl show as little interest as possible (but not so much that you look like an a*****e, I guess just more like nonchalant). It' will make her think( if she is really good looking) "hey why doesn't he look at me like all the other boys?"... and there you already got them stopping in their tracks and thinking about you. The rest is up to you... I mean there is alot to say when attracting a girl... so much to I'm to lazy to finish and moving on to the next question. ;-)
