  1. have a party with free beer.

  2. You'll probably meet quite a few of the local expats on the flight to Spain. Check out the Sur in English newspaper online this will tell you what's happening and where. There are plenty of Brit bars, shops, theatres etc. it depends on who you want to get in touch with and why. Good luck in your search

    www.surinenglish.com

  3. Not quite sure whether you are in Spain or not?? But if not suggest local Brit newspaper in Costa del Sol, think it´s called Sur in English. I live in the Costa Blanca and we have CBN but also many free papers too.

If you are in Spain I can´t believe you haven´t found an English community they are everywhere!! Go to any Brit bar and they will tell you whats in your area.

  4. Visit this site: http://www.spainexpat.com/

Although I'm not totally sure if this site answers your question, this site is a great source for very useful information for expatriates living in or visiting Spain.

Also, if you go to any Irish bar or pub you're guaranteed to find other native English speakers form the U.K., USA, etc.

  5. We are everywhere, at present there are over 5,000 British residents in Fuengirola alone, I live in Benalmadena, like the other writers state, try looking in the SUR in English website, and other english papers, its not such a good idea to latch on to folks in bars quickly, you don't know who they are, just mingle in gently, get to know folks, but your question is a bit vague, are you thinking of living here? do you wish to write to residents here? are you writing an article on life here?

  6. well, first of the answer by pieman 66must be talking about all his mates with a name like that he must be talking about himself.seriously like 1 or 2 other people have said look in the free local papers like sur in English or the other good 1 is the town crier paper.there's also the British legion clubs located up and down the coast all the addresses are on 1 of the pages of the papers theirs also lots of pensioner clubs who organise days out at discounted prices.PS try to keep out of the Brit and Irish bars as their dearer than the local Spanish bars plus try and learn some of the Spanish culture and eat the way they do you will find it a h**l of a lot cheaper and enjoy yourself a lot more.i should know, Ive been going to benal madena for the last 25 years the first 2 or 3 years i did the English bars and never learnt nothing ,then i met an English couple who introduced me to the real Spain, and Ive never looked back

  7. get local paper, lots contacts costa news ,also web  msn etc.

  8. get orf your ars and go to the nearest bar?

he'll be there sitting in the corner

  9. depends where you are on costa del sol

i live in Marbella and it has a lot of expats so you dont have to look far

  10. An English person abroad isn't hard to spot, bad fashion sense, a beer gut or ill fitting clothes (If female) usually sitting outside an English cafe or bar - make freinds,if thats your ilk and the rest is history, you will soon know the whole undeworld fraternity!
