  1. You should learn about music because language has its own music (Shakespeare and, say, Irish playwright Billy Roche) and-- even if you don't audition for musicals per se-- and a lot of plays do have characters singing a song within the text.

That being said, there are LOTS of actors who can't sing a note.  Read every book and play you can get your hands on and sign up for classes and community theatre in your area.  Take drama and debate at school, and audition for school plays.   If you want to do it, you can!

  2. 1. Training. Acting/Dancing/Singing classes are a good start. You start to get some talent under your belt, and grow your confidence. Plus, if after about a year of classes if you realize you really don't like it, it'll be easier for you to back out.

    2. Experience. Do Community Theater, act in your school play, get in some student films, etc. You'll want to do as many productions as possible to have a great resume.

    3. Agent. http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/tale...

As you can see, you're going to need to spend at least two years (At the VERY least. Usually you'll need three to four.) building yourself up. You'll want to make sure this is what you really want to do before you start getting into this.

Also, you should NEVER have to pay for anything when it comes to getting an agent. If an agent tells you to take special classes from them or a website asks for a credit card number, that is a red flag that it is a scam. Some of the big scammers out there are: John Robert Powers, Millie Lewis, John Casablancas, Proscout, Model Look, Barbizon.

Hope this helps and I wish you a fantastic career. =)

  3. if u tell me were you live like what county so i would be gladly too help look up, i do brodway so yea im a actor

  4. Acting on stage or film? Get your foot in the door by gettin' yourself into as many productions as possible. Join some local theaters, and read a ton of books on it. If you know someone that has any knowledge ask them questions. Research!

Good luck, maybe i'll cast ya' if ya' make me cry!

  5. Congrats on showing an interest in theatre!  The only reason you'd need to be worried about singing would be if you wanted to do a musical, but obviously theatre isn't all just musicals!  Try a local community theatre or any theatre programs at your school.  Learning to sing can be beneficial, though.  You don't have to be amazing at it, but you need to be confidant and able to hold a tune.  You can take voice lessons; they really pay off.
