  1. Joining a local club if you're not already a part of one would be the first step.  The US is getting much better at player development as of late, since moving out of the country isn't exactly the most feasible option for most people.  Look into player development camps online, and usarugby.org is a great place to start.  Keep in mind that many players who are pro have been playing since they were 5 and 6 years old though, and there really aren't any paid professional teams in the US.  If you have a Superleague team near you look into joining their club, most teams have good player development and it is the highest level of rugby in the US, though it is still amateur.  premier-rugby.com is the superleague site.

  2. Newzealand or Australias the ticket for rugby bro

  3. I would also suggest looking at South Africa as an option, and not just New Zealand or Australia.

  4. I would recommend that you look at the USA Rugby web site.

To find out about rugby in college, select the "College Rugby" menu in the header.  This will open a drop down menu, you will need to select between womens varsity rugby and collegiate clubs.

If you are in high school or that, there is a menu for "Playing the Game" that has "Youth High School" in the drop down menu.  Be careful using these, as they go to pages that you cannot scroll down to see all of.

  5. Learn the basics in the US, as mentioned above. If and when you find you have a talent for it, start looking in any of the major players in the world if you want to develop.
