  1. take a bath or go to the doctor or shampoo

  2. Go to the store and get lice shampoo !

  3. use a shampoo..

  4. Go to the store and buy a good lice shampoo. Wash your brothers hair with it then go through the hair to find bugs and eggs.Repeat the process in about 7 to 10 days.  Make sure you wash all bed clothing in hot soapy water. You need to get the spray to spray the furniture and your mattress. All clothes that are laying around should be put in garbage bags and closed tightly for about 5 days then washed.

This is not caused from being dirty or anything like that. They are sociable little creatures so anyone can get them.

    Good Luck

  5. First of all, the itching is going to continue until the bites heal.  There's not really anything you can do for that.  You've went through the first part, using lice shampoo.  Nix is the only brand that really works and even that one isn't that great as lice has evolved to become immune to it.  It will kill a lot of it though.  Make sure the entire family is treated and as embarassing as it is, you need to tell the school and the parents of any friends he's been playing with.  You don't want those kids to give it back to him after you get rid of it.  You also need to buy a lice comb, the one in the package doesn't really work that great.  Go through each individual hair strand under good lighting (sunlight is best) and have some scotch tape handy to clean the comb with.  The lice and eggs will stick to it and can't get off, way better than tissue.  You need to do this every day for at least two weeks.  It's tedious work, but lice is hard to get rid of and you don't want it spreading to the rest of the family.  You can't use the lice treatment every day, but you can use olive oil on the other days.  Drench the hair for 10 minutes and then shampoo.  Baking soda will get the greasiness out.  It will drown any lice that has escaped the shampoo.  Also, if you use the scotch tape at the root of the hair, you can pull off some eggs that way.  Wash and dry the bedding and pillows everyday until you're rid of it for sure.  The dryer is the most important part, the heat will kill the lice and eggs.    If he has stuffed toys, you either need to wash and dry them or place them in a plastic bag for three weeks.  Make sure you don't forget the car!  It needs to be vacuumed thoroughly and sprayed with lice upholstery spray.  Good luck and I feel really sorry for you.  Hope you caught it early.

I've never tried the other stuff you mentioned, but I'veheard mayonaisse works like the olive oil and listerine supposedly is good for prevention

  6. Rid shampoo at your local drug store. use as directed. the whole family should shampoo in case. wash all (used) towels bath hand and washrags.

  7. the itching won't stop until the biting stops. I've had it before and for some reason they love my hair! First off wash all of his clothes, sheets, blankets, and pillow cases. Take his pillow and any stuffed animals he has and put them into a black (black only!) plastic bag, and then put that bag into the sunlight. Go purchase, quite a few things, the lice shampoo, metal lice combs (metal work better than plastic and don't hurt as much), listerine, and vinegar. I know it sounds silly but trust me! Do the shampoo, comb out his hair. Then take the listerine and SOAK his hair in it. Put a plastic grocery bag over his head and put a towel over that (for heat). Then after about 30 minutes rinse the listerine off and then soak his hair in vinegar. The listerine suffocates the lice and the vinegar dissolves the "glue" used to stick the eggs to your hair. Comb it out again. Keep doing this about once a week until they go away. That, or either shave his head. He is a boy it won't look bad on him and it will get rid of them...

  8. shave his head or my friend put her hair in bleach and she said that worked but i'm not sure

  9. You have to cut the eggs out and kill the bugs! I worked in a school! Use BABY OIL... the bugs will slide out and then comb through your hair with that comb in the box then use the Rix and comb again until you cant comb anymore!

  10. well lice is attracted to CLEAN hair not dirty so thats just to clear things up.

    anyways

shampoo the hair with Ridx (recommended) 4 times a day for at lest 3 days then twice a day for another week or so (depending on how bad the case is) then pic out the eggs (google for lice egg pictures) and despose of them in the toilet/ect...

    EDIT

Sorry but the ictching doesn't really go away till its completely treated. although i do recomend you to NOT scratch

Then wash/scrub/place in hot water anything and everything he touched and more

    GOOD LUCK

  11. go to a drugstore or some place and look for NIX it works (:

be sure you use the comb in the box and get rid of all the nits and eggs otherwise you will keep getting re-infested.

wash all clothes vacuum floors boil brushes combs and hair products get some RID and spray furniture.

take any stuffed animals and put them in a plastic bag for 5 days

and dont listen to people when they say 'shave his head' it doesn't work. TRUST ME my brothers got it, we tried that. DIDN'T WORK! haha.

    unless your completly bald

but i mean, if you give him a buzz cut you'll still have nits and they turn into lice and create more bugs and lalala.

lice is a pain to get rid of

    and OH

BE SURE TO WARN ANYONE YOU SPENT THE NIGHT AT OR HE OR WHOEVER IS INFESTED!

you will get it again and again if your friends have it to, i know it might be embarissing but it's what u have to do

  12. Shave your head

  13. shave hair short and use the proper shampoos for that stuff.

  14. Local market like Walgreens or Target will have Lice shampoo and other options to clean the hair.  Must remember to treat twice to catch hatchlings, as the chemicals may not kill eggs.

  15. Get lice shampoo theres alot at walgreens. Also you have to get his pillows, blankets, bedsheets and isolate them in something airtight for about 2 weeks or wash them in something that will kill the lice.

  16. get the lice shampoo and wash all ur bed stuff and put all stuff animal in a trash bad for 1 to 2 weeks. good luck!! It's sucks

  17. peanut butter. (don't eat it)

Rub it all over his head, and I don't just a little, i mean like until its really thik and gooey. Leave it in for 10 minutes, then rinse it out.

It suffocates the lice and kills them, and also the eggs stick to the peanut butter when you rinse it out. Good luck!

  18. By a bottle of lice treatment shampoo and follow the instructions.

That'll get the lice off his head, but you'll still need to take care of those on your furnishings.

Wash all his bedding, clothing and anything else he might have laid on in hot water.

For stuffed animals or pillows that can't be washed, put them in a sealed garbage bag and let them sit for two weeks.

Dry cleaning will also kill them.

  19. go to the doctor and get a prescription for lice shampoo. RidX might work too.

  20. a lice comb or lice shampoo (at your local pharmacy, if they don't have any of that, then ask the pharmacist)

  21. lice shampoo its called rid. or alot of mayo in your hair for 10 mins

  22. the stuff made for it. like shampoo and what not....

  23. Shave the persons head or buy a shampoo that gets rid of them.

  24. Ok, these bugs SUCK BOOTY! just had to say that. I had them! ok so what we did was first you use some sort of lice shampoo, such as RID, NIX. doesnt matter. one of those 2 and follow the directions. Ok, about 2 days later you take some slightly warm vinegar and you spray it on the hair.get a plastic bag and cover the hair for 20 minutes. Take a comb and brush through. this should get most of the eggs out. some of them you just have to get nail clippers and cut them off. some guys dont mind getting there head shaven, that works!! I cant find the recipe for the vinegar, but is says that you can leave it on over night. the eggs are little white things, you cant just flick them off like you can with dandruff. They are very hard to get off the hair and thats how you know.

Good luck to your family! and make sure that you wash and dry the sheets the sheets.the dryer is the one that kills the lice and there eggs, so make sure that its really HOT! make sure that you do the lice treatment again in 7 days and then 10 days from the first treatment to make sure that if any of the eggs hatched that you kill them. dont worry bout the box because i went to the doctor, and my moms a nurse and thats what they told me to do.

So uve tried it... hmmm, my mom said that mayo would work, but kind of discusting. it pretty much smothers them, but u have to leav  in over night. wrap up in a trash bag (lets no air in/out) then when you wake up comb the mayonnaise out (to hope that some nits come with it) and then wash the hair (no

    conditioner)

  25. When i had it my dad did all sorts of things! he put mayo in our hair ( it may seem gross but really it worked) and he made us sleep with it with a shower cap over our hair. go to lice.com they tell u what to do

  26. they sell stuff called rid that gets rid of them- you have to wash/ spray everything- chairs, carpet, car seats, clothes, beds... but my little sister got it quite a few times when we were little and the rid is kinda pricey so mom started getting the rid spray for seats, beds... and instead of buying the shampoo, she used mayonaise.  You can cover your hair in as much mayo as possible and put a shower cap on top.  Then leave it on for a long time.  My sisters used to keep it on for hours.  It makes your hair really shiny and smooth and somehow kills the bugs.  And- a big jar of off-brand mayo is cheaper than the rid shampoo and will work for a few people.  As with the shampoo, you have to use a lice comb to get the bugs out and repeat after a few days i guess.  Read the shampoo box at the store and it will say how often to repeat, but since lice eggs may hatch after a few days, you have to repeat to kill the whole bunch.  hope this helps

  27. kill your brother or face the wrath of the lice

  28. Shave their heads and steam clean EVERYTHING in their room.

Or, simply use the lice killing shampoo, which you can find at any pharmacy.

Do this for the entire household to ensure they're gone and steam clean all of his stuff.

  29. You don't need to shave the head. Go to walmart and get a lice shampoo. Make sure all the bedding is washed and enough of the shampoo to treat every one in the family twice.

  30. wtf happened to manually doin it?? do that, use shampoo, wash all the covers, etc AGAIN and they should be gone.

my mom did this when we were young... or u could cut the kids head bald, if u dont think u have the time.
