  1. We use lime dust and moth balls - but put them on the outer points of the yard etc- we have 5 dogs all different breeds but they do not mess with this! I also put this under my home foundation and not had any snakes etc in 4 years! Know they have a purpose but not in my home!

  2. Start your yard on fire,

    LOL

  3. Get some chickens. Snakes hate chickens because they peck at them.

  4. You can try putting lemon juice, but a snake wont do any harm... If not it's the DOG that'll to the harm.

  5.   IF you want to keep snakes out of your yard, you’ll want to make sure that shrubs, bushes, and thick gardens are kept away from your home. Snakes love gardens with lots of shrubbery. It gives them a place to hide and hang out while they wait for the next meal to come along. It also provides the snake with a perfectly safe way to travel from one place to another.

Mowing your lawn will help you get rid of snakes. Tall grass is a great place for snakes to hide and move around in. Not only that, but tall grasses host a number of the snake’s favorite meals like crickets, grasshoppers, mice, and a plethora of other small rodents and insects. Keeping the grass low also means that snakes will feel less comfortable there because they’re open to attack by their own natural predators like hawks and owls.

Piles of wood, compost heaps, and mulch should be kept a safe distance from your home if you’re getting rid of snakes. As you might imagine, snakes are always looking for places to hide or cool off during the really hot days. The gaps between logs provide the perfect cover for snakes, as do compost heaps and piles of just about anything. By now you should understand that controlling snakes means removing their safe spots.

Getting rid of snakes means getting rid of small rodents. If you have snakes consistently slithering through your yard, chances are they’re chasing a meal. This is why we find snakes in our garage, under our porches, and in our gardens: those are all places where rodents like mice, squirrels, and other furry like to find a meal or make a nest. Snakes know this, and it only makes sense to go where the food is.

  6. there is no real way to have snakes stop coming forever without having radical changes such as removing any hiding places such as logs, rocks, other hiding places, etc. I suggest keeping the dog in a safe area, the odds are the dog goes and messes around with the snake since dogs do that. Snakes never get hostile and won't be aggressive unless they are protecting something or is attacked. perhaps maybe making small snake traps such as digging a trench around the dog, I can not say there is a real fix to this.

  7. move to another area with no woods.

  8. Try buying a bob cat i hear they are expert snake killers

  9. I know you said that she has a dog, but if she could get a cat that would get a long with the dog ,the cat would keep the snakes away. You can also throw so moth balls all around the yard it they will run the snakes away.

  10. I know that guinea fowl scream really loud when snakes come around but I am unsure if the kill them, so at least you are warned

  11. spray petrol around your fence line it sends them mad and they will leave
