Question:

How can you get rid of snakes to clean a shed?

I have a shed on my property that we've mainly used for storage. It's a small cinderblock shed with only a regular sized door for an opening. It has been rarely used in the past 13 years we've been living here. Because of that, snakes and other animals have taken up residence in there. I need to clean the area out but I don't want to pick something up and end up surprising a snake or another animal. What would be the best way to get rid of the animals so I can clean the shed out?

  1. Large quantities of mothballs ...throw them everywhere!

  2. shotgun blow the **** outa them...or figure out where there coming from and seal it up

  3. An open cup of diesel fuel will get the snakes out of there in short order.  Noise is really the only other effective method to get rid of all else.    Mothballs won't get rid of mice or rats. They  might work on snakes and moths.

  4. mothballs, lots and lots of moth balls and they will be gone very soon, and not want to visit.

  5. get some good thick gloves and go to work-move a little at a time-the noise will run away most pests-the snakes just have to watch for them-best way-if worried about any piles use rake/pitchfork and move things up and out
