  1. give it time and keep it elevated, cold packs will help with the swelling

  2. I've just been diagnosed with that.  It usually goes by itself, but you have to rest it and take pain killers.  Also, go to your gp and ask if you can be referred to a physiotherapist, they often use ultrasound to help it.

  3. I've had it in my shoulder and most recently in my ankle.  I took ibuprofen tablet's which helped.  Mine lasted for about 3 weeks and it eventually just went away.

  4. It really depends on the cause. You say tendonitis in the knee?? It really depends on what structure is actually damaged.  Healing this involves therapies which reduce the strain of this tendon. This may be through rest, ice, compression, elevation.

It is really essential though to effective and speedy recovery to have an accurate diagnosis of your condition.  What structure is injured, how it got injured, your activity level, what makes it painful are all questions that need to be answered.

Unfortunately in 99% of cases there is no magic wand to fix chronic musculoskeletal injuries.

  5. I've had tendinitis in my knee last year. What I did was wear a knee brace and kept it elevated, and constantly applied ice to it. It usually goes away on its own.
