  1. Lower the tuning on all your Tom-Tom, Floor Tom drum heads and also on both the Bass Drum heads too. That will give you a more of a  "boom & thump" tone to it when you do that. Also, don't muffle your drum heads too much...that will allow more tome to come out too as well. Also, experiment more with both higher and lower tunings too. This will help you define "YOUR own drum sound" too.   Hope this helps and good luck
