I was doing a project with some wd-40 & I cleaned up my mess with some old towels. Well I told my 16yr.old daughter to take the dirty towels & put them in the trash. Well she put them in the washer with all of MY dirty clothes and I did not know she did this untill I pulled the laundry out of the washer. It was so strong with wd-40 & I have washed them 8 times today. I have tried febreze, Gain laundry soap & fabric softener, orange boost... Nothing has worked , I'm open for ANY suggestions at this point...... Can someone PLEASE help with this problem...

Thank You !!!!!!

  1. I'd suggest 2 cups of vineagar in the wash or lemon juice but try vineagar 1st.

  2. WD-40 is made from fish oil

I have used Dawn dish soap with some succes, though I don't mind the smell of WD-40 so much it's nice smelling compaired to many things I work with

  3. AD HALF A CUP OF BAKING POWDER TO YOUR WASH.

  4. try a cup of lemon juice  (gets fish odor out)

    or vinegar

  5. WD-40 is oil, you need something to cut oil.

Its a little unorthodox, but you can try hand washing your items in a sink with dishsoap, or another strong detergent.

Be sure to rinse them well, and don't take the shortcut route of adding dishsoap to the washer... Unless you want a bubble bath filling your laundry room : )
