Question:

How can you get volunteer work from organizations? Suggestions?

I really need help on finding possible volunteer opportunities, I'm doing this because I want to get at least a hundred hours before I finish high school. I email the organizations but they never reply to my emails. Maybe I should try going in person?

Also I want to try applying for Sunnybrook Hospital, has anyone volunteered there before? Is it hard to get in?

Thanks.

  1. Call the Sunnybrook Hospital and tell them you want to volunteer. You will get far more information from them about what it's like to volunteer there than you will get here -- particularly since you haven't said what city you are in.

Also, contact your local volunteer center; you can find this via the Points of Light Foundation web site,

There's also this government sponsored site, http://volunteer.gov/gov/ which provides volunteer positions through USA federal land agencies like Fish & Wildlife, Forest Service, National Parks, etc.
