Question:

How can you get your flexibility up?

I want to be able to do the splits because it will help with strides for my running. Plus, I find gymnasts to be amazing athletes and I wish to be able to do something like them.

  1. Stretch when you get up for as long as you can, every muscle (well, maybe not toes :) ) then about an hour later do the same thing.

    You could wait 2 or 3 hours depending on your schedule.

    Do this everyday.

    Concentrate on touching your toes and doing hurdle stretches.

    Everyday you will be able to go a little farther in your splits.

    Just keep it up.

    Hold in while it hurts for at least 20 seconds.


  2. Well I can't tell you how to do the splits but stretching, stretching,stretching will help you become much more flexible. Here's a site that lists some stretches and give information about why its important to stretch. I would stretch whenever you can like when you're watching tv. Hope I helped out some!!! =)
