Hey, I'm g*y boy and I have many straight friends, girls and boys, and sometimes I feel like saying to the guys they look great, usually or in that specific moment, but I don't really know how I can say such things without making them feel awkward and also without having to control myself all the time to think 5 times before saying it...

It's just that I feel that complements are always welcome, but straight guys can be very sensitive about complements coming from a g*y guy (or any guy), you know... what do you think it's the best way to deal with this?

  1. A sincere compliment is usually appreciated (no ulterior motives!)  I have straight coworkers I'll compliment.  Things like, "Geesh, you have great biceps.  I have no upper-body strength.  What do you do?  Any tips for me?"

Or, "Hey, you shaved your moustache!  Looks good!"

Thinks like, "Hot butt, dude,"  - not so much.

  2. u shud probablee give the type of compliment they wud expect from a straight guy, so they wont assume aney undertones! probablee jus watch what they say to each other ♥ aha i dunt feel veri helpful X//D *blush*

  3. Yea, as long as they know you well enough not to know you're not hitting on them.

I tell my mates they're good looking and have good bodies loads. If it helps, say something like don't take this the wrong way, but you're quite good looking, for a straight guy. make it a little funny so they don't feel like WOOSH! g*y compliments. argh masculinity disappearing.

Every straight guy likes his ego tickling a bit =]

  4. compilment then and then say something about "i wish my body was like that, how do you work out?"
