How can you in your own small way help save our planet ?

In light of the Earth's current condition, regarding the effects of global warming.... what can we do ?

Recycle...conserve energy...buy fuel efficient vehicles...use solar energy whenever possible

I recycle everything I can in my community, I use public transportation as much as possible, I take my own reusable bags to the grocery store, and never, EVER buy aerosol cans. I also do not use cleansers. I clean my house with vinager, soap and water.

I am going to start recycling.  I have never done that before.  I hope this small gesture will help.

Me and my friends take ice from the freezer and put it in the grass in the yard.  As it melts it cools the surrounding air and offsets Global warming.  We started this last fall and poof the average daily temperature started to go down. We stopped in March and the temps. have been rising.  We think this proves our mission has been a success. Our next goal is to stop air pollution, Johnny Reed's mom will let us use her vacuum cleaner, so be ready to start breathing cleaner air.

dont use energy we dont need (turn off lights when not in the room ect), recyle, walk when u can and much more

Small things aded up- if more people would just do them!

I have emptied out and quit running my deep freeze - it is a big user of electricity- and also switched to those compact low watt fluorescent light bulbs in the rooms where I use the lights the most. I plan to replace all eventually.

How about being less of a consumer, and being "greener" with new purchases? i feel smug driving a compact that is 8 years old seeing those new SUV's guzzling down the more and more expensive gas. Be happy with less, smaller, greener everything. Think before purchasing.

Also, recycle! recycle everything possible, it saves manufacturing/refining energy and just makes sense.  Will be glad to hear others ideas too- good question-a star from me.

POSITIVE ACTIONS

if you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes

reduce carbon emisions,and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials,aerosol cans,burning rubbish,industrial chimneys,powerplants etc.

the capture of carbon and the production of water and assist the aquiferous manta.

the world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia

Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

the protection of existing forrests.

stop building more highways,urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.

education on environmental awareness

education on family planning to curb over´populaion

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.

more environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires,such as--fire breaks

,more dams.regulations and control for public behaviour

alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

recicling wastes,limit water use

Only use fuel when necessary.

Plant trees to shade the house to save energy.
