  1. Air conditioners need to be vented outside.  If you don't have a window for those tubes, then you need a hole in the wall.....like a dryer vent to the outside.  Just make sure is can be closed off and insulated in winter.  Or install a window unit but go thru the wall......like in a motel.

Nice thing about those small portable units, they only need 120 electricity.  But beware, their cooling size is for small rooms!!

Bigger wall units which might be necessary for your room size may require 240 electricity.

Even the evaporative coolers, where you add water need to vent somewhere outside.  Granted not directly but usually through a window opening....which you don't have.

  2. I don't think you can. The portable air conditioner I have requires a window. There is a system going out the window which allows the heat to escape the room.

  3. Just frame a hole in the wall, people do this all the time.

  4. You would need to cut a hole in the wall and install a sleeve.  The AC would then slide into the sleeve.  Are you using the room as a bedroom?  Code requires natural light and ventilation in a bedroom, equivalent to 10% of the floor area.  This is one of the reasons that windows are required.

  5. Sure you can.  You are going to have to cut a hole in the wall though, frame it, and then make sure it is trimmed properly so it doesn't leak.

  6. YES U CAN. i WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND GOT ONE FOR MYSELF. PAID CLOSE TO SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS AND IT WORKS FINE MY SON MADE A HOLE OR OPENING AND HE VENTED TO THE OUTSIDE.IT WAS A JOB,BUT HE DID IT FOR ME.
