Instead of killing it, why not wrap it up and send it alive as a gift to gore to show all of ours appreciation for his service to humanity.   Maybe it can show him just how it feels as well, especially if the ups driver has been just a bit rough with the box.

You would have to go to a zoo or Australia where platypus are found!  But why on earth would you want to kill such a fascinating creature!  True, the males have spurs that can inject a poison but it mainly causes severe pain rather than killing you.  And if you leave the animal alone it isn't going to hunt you down to inject poison!

If a platypus was severely injured and had to be put out of its misery, then an overdose with a sedative would do the job!
