How can you know someone without giving them the chance to know you?why are people so afraid to love?

So many people are so closed,they never even want to give anyone a chance to enter their heart,have we all become so afraid and distrustful of eachother,that we no longer want to love?

......it depends on the culture, custom, traditions and even religion my dear of every country......some religion don't advertise love, thats why they go for arranged marriages......they thought it will be a successful marriage for their child and they thought parents knows best to follow them......they didn't know that we can't teach our heart whom to love or even control our heart.....

It's because of past hurts.  When someone is hurt so horribly by someone else, often they build walls for self protection.  With some people, breaking down the wall is very hard if not impossible.

It's sad really that humans treat each other so horribly.

may be he /she had suffered before....may be ha had opend his heart before to someone and he/she used him....what makes ppl gain confedence towards other ppl.....

i have many friends....who live on the fact that all ppl bad or not trust worthy untill they prove the opposite.....

i myself don't trust ppl easily...

Plain and simple - STOP WASTING YOUR TIME! If HE or SHE don't give YOU a chance, move on to the next person who cares and one who actually needs someone to care for HIM or HER. "There's many fishes in the sea". Trust me, there's a lot of people who still believe in love and needs to be loved. You're just meeting the wrong people.

Well, I can talk about my experience.....days before, I accepted some people be my contacts, but they were knowing about me, then they were talking about differents things, that I didnt want express in this section, then I closed my space, now I have friends, few, but they dont want look for details of my life.....I dont trust easy, and really you look like a great person, and I want be your friend, write me or I´ll write you........

And I am here because I love be here...too I found, somebody who wanted.....ohh I cannt explain so I deleted him, I prefer be alone that with bad companies, many times people believe that friendship is for sleep with somebody and

Occidental woman doesn`t mean this, I never will do this before marriage.

Can you imagine....somebody knowing your life details and you dont know him....and he knows all about you?

past pain are lesson to learn from.

we all encountered a number of emotional experiences that did not end happily. and ppl end these experiences psychologically (internally) by understanding the reasons or the surrounding conditions that lead them to this un-happy end.

So what happens when they approach someone else by clear intentions or sudden circumstances they become aware -or alert- to negative and positive signs of what is coming next. and become more rational before expressing their emotions. because now they understand that love is not just emotions, there are a number of other rational factors that can lead to a mature love relationship that can end someday with marriage. (like matching social background, shared values about children rising- shared definition of success- shared definition of house chores responsibility- believe in each other ambitions and interests- shared religious values- or just other partner personal attributes that can not be handled like anger, cling, cokyness)

it was proved through a questioner that men are not afraid of marriage, they are just a fraid of bad marriage, afraid of choosing the wrong person, and that's why they sometimes prefer to stay bachelors.

in my openion the main point is to give time to know each other well without the emotional blackmail (i love you why you dont care!!) give each other time to understand each other before living your emotions... this will last.. and avoid the fabricated drama of (why did you change?)

yea many people now afraid to love .... as i think and in my opinion its 50% pain and suffer before and the other 50%  ... just afraid to broken his\her heart ........... cuz its not so good thing to suffer from love ........ so they stay away from that ...... when u be alone ...... u will used to be that so its not a big prop but when u used to find some one always love u and be next to u then he\she will leave u alone .......... its very big proplem

But love is the best feeling ever ^__^ ...... so we can trust each other more.. it'd be great :)

I will give you the reason why I am afraid to love.  From my experience, who ever I have loved has hurt me.  By hurt I don't mean words, I mean actions.  I feel that in the modern world there are very few people who are honorable.  People have a warped sense of what is good and bad.  There is no sense of black and white, all that is left is shades of gray.  As a result people pick and choose what they consider right and wrong to suit their needs.  It makes me plain scared to trust anyone as everything is based on convenience.  

The other reason is everything runs on money.  As much as I hate saying it and I wish I did not believe it, but yes, money makes the world go around.  I wish I could learn to trust again, and let someone into my life who will show me that everyone and everything is not so shallow and deceitful.  I hope one day that someone can prove me wrong, as this is one thing that I would love to be wrong in.  Until that day, I will only rely on myself for everything.

sometimes to love someone is hurt...because if human love someone, its mean we expect something best and if we can not got it...it will be hurt....and after hurt many many times...no need to love anymore
