  1. play with little kids and spend a lot time with them. it teaches you to listen and be patient.

  2. Count to ten before you answer or ask a question.

  3. even though some people get super annoyed with it, i always have a rubber band around my wrist. not a hair tye, a rubbery rubber band. and then when i get frustrated and want to talk back to someone or say something unnecessary i snap it on the inside of my wrist, and its a reminder that you can be causing other people pain too by opening ur mouth lol

i have like no tolerance with my younger sister, we're two years apart and shes still in high school.. good lord we fight all the time, and shes the biggest drama queen! ive gotten so much better now, i just snap my wrist and think there. i feel better about it. hope that works for u

  4. Have a child. When they hit 2, you'll either learn patience, or become a murderer.

  5. Well, some of that comes with age...when I was in college working as a radio announcer, I would sometimes have to play songs that I thought might make my ears bleed, but then one evening, instead of getting annoyed, I told myself that most songs were about three minutes, and I could certainly stand it for that long.

That really was the beginning of my intentionally working on my patience...and over the years, I just worked at staying patient in trying situations, such as when standing in line and knowing the dame in front of me has 36 items in the 12-item line...

Another tool I use is to empathize with whomever I am impatient with....that really helped when I had kids and I would get irritated while trying to teach them something (like cooking, which was twice as long to do when they helped)...I began thinking about how they must feel, having a mom who was not really nice, and that stopped me dead in my tracks...

I guess the real answer is to learn to be patient with yourself first, then move on to being less-impatient with others....

The Golden Rule applies:  Treat others as you would have them treat you!

  6. go to the dmv every day and wait in line  lol just kiding find something you really like to do and do it well so it takes awile and keep doing it

  7. Reduce or limit your expectations on all things.

Trust yourself and do not fall reliant on too many others.

Make the timing issues something you do not need to control as much as you may at this time.

Sounds like reading your stars but it is the best I can do for you.

  8. All you need to do is gain some wisdom. Being patient is the process of letting go of childish wants and realizing that good things come to those who wait. Here is an example: Spend all your money and you will be poor, save as much money as possible and you will aquire wealth.

  9. patience is a virtue.

  10. Some say it's about "timing:" “Life is all about timing... the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable. Have the patience, wait it out It's all about timing.” Stacey Charter.  Then Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "“Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience.”  Apparently, learning patience has to do with times and the seasons of our lives.  For this we can never learn it, only live it.
