How can you lighten your skin? And also make your entire body the same skin tone?

My face is maybe about 2 or 3 shades darker than my hands..... i have like a light brown skinned hands and majority of upper body, but most noticeable is my hands and arms color compared to my face's complexion.

I've tried Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 45 to attempt to lighten my face, but it doesn't help. What else should i try?

Also i am African American, 16, and i am currently using an acne treatment prescribed by my Dermatologist.

The prescription may be making your skin lighter. Wait it out. Lots of African-Americans have uneven skin tones. In the winter, your face should get more pale. Maybe you just got a tan. Bleach would lighten, but also mess you all up. Maybe talk to your Dermatologist about it.

if your using a prescription acne treatment, i wouldnt mess around and put any other chemicals on your skin.. as for lightening your skin it isnt gonna happen, im sure its not a freakishly noticable differance between your face and hands so dont worry about it so much.
